Roles and Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities : 1. Audit Planning and Execution: • Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments, regulatory requirements, and management input. • Execute audits according to the defined plan, including conducting fieldwork, testing controls, and documenting findings. 2. Compliance Monitoring: • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards such as SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulations and stock exchange rules. • Review and assess the firm's adherence to internal policies and procedures. 3. Risk Assessment and Management: • Identify and assess risks inherent in the stockbroking business, including market risk, operational risk, and regulatory risk. • Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks and improving internal controls. 4. Financial and Operational Audits: • Review financial statements, transactions, and accounting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. • Evaluate operational processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies, weaknesses, or areas for improvement. 5. Internal Control Evaluation: • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in safeguarding assets, ensuring data integrity, and preventing fraud. • Recommend enhancements to internal controls where weaknesses are identified. 6. Reporting and Communication: • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and management responses. • Communicate audit results to senior management, audit committee, and relevant stakeholders. • Track and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations. 7. Continuous Improvement: • Stay abreast of changes in regulations, industry trends, and best practices in auditing. • Continuously assess and improve audit methodologies, tools, and processes.
